Step 12: Replace the vibrator motor and charging I/O board.

NOTE: Make sure to remove the original and any remaining pieces of the water resistant seal. This seal is a strong adhesive that adheres the screen to the frame of the phone.
Step 21: Replace the back glass

Can you use the Samsung Z Flip 3 with a bad LCD / Display / Screen?
Yes unless the device’s digitizer is damaged too or the LCD’s is so damaged that the screen will not display. Both of these issues can be fixed with a screen replacement service.
While technically you may be able to use the Samsung Z Flip 3 with a bad LCD or display, it is not recommended. The display is a critical component of the phone, and a damaged screen can affect the phone’s functionality and usability.
If the screen is cracked or shattered, it may be difficult to see or interact with the phone’s content. The touch functionality may also be impaired, making it difficult to navigate the device. Additionally, a damaged screen can also lead to further damage to the internal components of the phone.
If you have a bad LCD or display on your Samsung Z Flip 3, it is recommended to get it repaired or replaced as soon as possible to ensure optimal performance and prevent further damage.
What causes the Samsung Z Flip 3 Screen / LCD / Digitizer to break?
There are several factors that can cause the Samsung Z Flip 3 screen, LCD, or digitizer to break. Some common causes include:
- Drops or impacts: One of the most common causes of a broken screen on any phone is dropping it or subjecting it to impact. Even a small drop can cause cracks or damage to the screen or LCD.
- Pressure or bending: The Samsung Z Flip 3 has a foldable screen, which can be more vulnerable to damage from pressure or bending. Putting pressure on the screen or folding it the wrong way can cause damage to the screen or digitizer.
- Water damage: While the Samsung Z Flip 3 is water-resistant, it is not completely waterproof. If the phone is exposed to water or other liquids, it can cause damage to the screen or other components.
- Manufacturing defects: In rare cases, a manufacturing defect can cause the screen or LCD to fail prematurely.
- Normal wear and tear: Over time, the screen and LCD on any phone can degrade and become less responsive. This can be exacerbated by exposure to heat, cold, or other environmental factors.
It is important to take care of your Samsung Z Flip 3 and handle it with care to avoid damaging the screen or other components. Using a protective case and screen protector can also help prevent damage from drops or impacts.
Can you fix the Samsung Z Flip 3 yourself?
Yes if you have the correct tools, equipment and access to the necessary parts. Unlike other Samsung Galaxy models, the Z Flip 3 series requires a specialized heating solution with a specific type of suction cup to safely remove the back glass without cracking or damaging the device further. If you don’t have experience with cell phone repair, then we wouldn’t advise you to attempt this repair on your own, if you are confident though go for it!
Is it worth fixing the Samsung Z Flip 3 with a broken or damaged screen / display?
